Llangrove CE Primary School PTFA(Parents, Teachers and Friends Association)
Our school has a proactive PTFA which is extremely well supported by staff, governors, school families and our wider communities; this reflects the friendly and inclusive ethos of our school. The PTFA organises a number of social events throughout the year for children, families and our communities. These events raise money for the school but also provide valuable opportunities for us all to get together and enjoy ourselves! In 2008/2009 we raised over £2,600 for our school from the following activities:
October 2008: Autumn Disco In February 2009 we also held the second Llangrove Big Breakfast, a community fundraising breakfast supplied, prepared and served by local business and individuals. Over 170 people enjoyed a delicious cooked breakfast in the school hall and helped us raise £950 which was divided between Noah's Ark Trust and school. The PTFA comprises staff, parents and friends of the school and meets at 7.30pm on the third Monday of each half-term at The Royal Arms public house in Llangrove. Everyone is welcome to participate (all school families are automatically members of the PTFA); we need creative minds to dream up new fundraising ideas and to help decide how best to spend the money we make! Please join us if you can.
We have two main aims:
November 2008: Quiz Night at the Royal Arms, Llangrove
December 2008: Christmas Craft Fair
January 2009: New Year Disco
March 2008: Spring Disco
June 2008: Summer Fair
